EL BEULAH -An Ode To A Friend-

EL BEULAH -An Ode To A Friend-

The poem EL BEULAH, 22042021@abt12:00 noon; by Nekabari Benson Nwika, is written in the Shakespeare's sonnet styles to decode the wonders of a certain lady in her prime. The said lady is his friend, so to felicitate her birthday, he simply expressed her beauty and love culture in a grand style.

It's about a missionary queen bee on best bites' quests

Ordained by angelic wings soaring on trees tall

Spreading the gospel in honey combs to all her guests

Sharing undying love portion of smiles down the universal hall

Too numerous to mention her intellects and zest for greener pasture

Ofcourse an embodiment of the highest form of legal tender

With attitudes, aptitudes, character and temperaments tapped from nature

In the making of an engineer, home builder and home maker

Ever seen such a super soul-spirited elegance of hope to womanhood?

Multi peaceful lineage of beauty and wisdom wrapped in one perfect womb

Is she to quench the thirsty eyes of men and heal the brotherhood?

Perhaps, a God send to mankind, even the weak man rises on her tomb

'Twas in my honours to unveil the crown from a perfect vagina

Ladies and gentlemen, El beulah.

IF ONLY BIRDS COULD SPEAK

The first and second verses were written on the 29th of December, 2016 by 07:15 PM. The last verse was written prior to the former as the poet explains that he lately discovered the birds that can actually speak but can't convince themselves with the borrowed language. The last verse was written on the 11th of April, 2021 by 05:30 PM.

If only birds could speak
I'ud join in the feather's anthem
If only birds could speak
I'ud kiss the heights above
If only birds could speak
I'ud drive the kites to their homes
If only birds could speak
I'ud fly the flies in the sky
If only birds could speak
I'ud make the best symphony
I'ud take selfies on cloudy trees
And I'ud visit the moon at noon

If only birds could speak
I'ud travel the world before twelve
I'ud build my hut in space
And my nest on earth I'ud pace
If only birds could speak
I'ud join the top feeders
I'ud travel with the best feathers
And I'ud whisper these to their fathers

So lately I found the parakeets-
The cockatoos and the grey parrots
They are good motivational speakers
But can't convince their fellow feathers
